My undergrad studies were wildlife management. My grad-level is hydrology. So, yes, they come together with aquatic ecologies.

So you're into aqua-biology of sorts, dealing with fish and river/lake underwater life.

Thesis: background: much of the gravel that we use comes from rivers. There's a natural process the crushes the weaker stones and washes away the dirt. But the gravel mining in the rivers or gravel bars leaves behind a sandier surface.
My thesis is trying to determine whether that extraction surface is a source of fine sediments that is deleterious to the salmon.

Yeah, frontpage comments don't, go figure. I'm doing fine, several things to busy myself about over the place, and taking a sort of break from the Cellfaces stuff as I've posted on my journal. Remind me what is your thesis about?

Going Great! Getting into the busy season with my work and thesis, both. And with you? I missed this message earlier, thinking that comments route thru the message center w/ DA.

I do insist on thanking people because they took time to signify their appreciation of the work I made. To me, appreciation isn't a given: people can just like the piece and not express anything about it and move on. Some do. Those that do Fav a picture or leave a comment or anything, give extra meaning and purpose to the whole dA experience and it's always a cheerup to me, whether my day's being good or bad. I just like that kind of stuff. So it's not so much that I'm thanking the person for liking the piece, but more like thanking the person for expressing their appreciation. Like you here, so thank you again! And this time for the Watch!

I also made it my wallpaper with black background. From the other side of the room it looks like a hubble pic of a galaxy. I really like it and so many of your works. I also like the watermark as it reminds me where to find you and your art, later, without really getting in the way.
If you want, I'll put my digitalblasphemy back and remove yours.
